Phuket police are investigating the death of a Russian man in a swimming pool.

Phuket police have launched an investigation into the death of a 49-year-old Russian citizen whose body was found in a villa's swimming pool in the Thalang district. The incident occurred on Tuesday, June 11, at approximately 4:00 PM. According to police, the deceased, whose name has not been released, was found lifeless in the pool of a villa located in the Sri Soonthorn sub-district. The incident was reported by a 35-year-old Russian citizen who was residing at the villa with the deceased. Police officers and medics who arrived at the scene pronounced the man dead. A preliminary examination of the body revealed no visible signs of violence or injuries that could indicate a criminal nature of death. The body of the deceased was sent to Vachira Phuket Hospital for an autopsy. The examination is expected to determine the exact cause of death. Police continue to interview witnesses and gather additional information to ascertain all circumstances of the incident.
