The parliamentary transport committee held an emergency meeting with representatives from the railway, police, and transport services. The main topic was how to avoid a repeat of similar tragedies. Among the proposals are: expanding the video surveillance system, updating signaling and warnings, and strengthening coordination between police and railway services. The investigation revealed several problems, including human error and staff overload at crossings. According to the commission, a station employee failed to stop traffic in time before the approaching train. Strengthening personnel control, including regular drug and alcohol checks, is also being discussed.
